You are warmly invited to this multi-arts festival which highlights the creativity of people who have experience of mental health issues. This is a great event that raises awareness of something that a lot of people deal with, but that also celebrates their uniqueness!
Thursday 6th October - National Poetry Day - VIP Preview Evening - 6pm-9pm: Featuring workshops, art activities, and case studies on the positive impact of arts in mental health. with special guest speakers JC E-arts, Artful Minds Project, and Jason Clarke.
Friday 7th October - Digbeth First Friday - 11am-9pm - Lots to see and do with workshops involving sci-fi film and fantasy, health and wealth, and poetry for healing, topped off with a Digbeth First Friday event that features live music and entertainment.
Saturday 8th October - Heros and Legends - 11am-4pm - A day that will be dedicated to commemorating local and famous creatives who are no longer with us, and celebrating the positive impact that continues to inspire.
Sunday 9th October - Theatre in Health - 11am-4:30pm - A range of workshops going on throughout the day delving into the stigma of mental health, and including performances and an auction of the art that has been created.
Monday 10th October - World Mental Health Day! - 11am-5pm - The festival culminates in a celebration of World Mental Health Day, including writing sessions that sooth the soul and a clay creation workshop.
