Our Buildings

The Bond Company comprises of two main sites; The Bond and The Arch. Both sites have fascinating histories and have been integral to the industrial infrastructure of Birmingham City.

The Bond  on Fazeley Street consists of our Café, Icehouse, Gatehouse, Tollhouse and Retort House. The land was originally the site of a Gas Works, and then home to the canal shipping company Fellows, Morton and Clayton, one of the largest canal logistics companies during the industrial revolution through to the early 20th century. It has since been a bonded warehouse and was once  a warehouse for HP sauce, before becoming the property of the Bond Company in 1988.

The Arch on Floodgate Street, consists of The Gap, The Link, The Garage and The Yard, all home to a variety of businesses. This site was originally a Brass Foundry with part of the structure a series of back to back houses that provided homes for the many different industrial workers. The Bond Company aquired this property in 1991and set about refurbishing it to its current condition.
